Self-Awareness Graduate Education (SAGE) Program
The Self-Awareness Graduate Education (SAGE) Program provides a unique opportunity for graduates of the Thinking For A Change® program to enhance and build upon skills learned in the previous program. SAGE group members learn how to use their self-awareness, along with the knowledge they gained in Thinking For A Change® to prepare themselves for successful reintegration upon release from the Allegheny County Jail.

Thinking For A Change®
Thinking For A Change® is an evidence-based behavioral health curriculum developed by the National Institute of Corrections that concentrates on changing the thinking of offenders. Classes are held weekly at the Allegheny County Jail Reentry Center in Uptown. Participants learn to reframe thoughts to promote healthy behavior, develop social skills, and problem solve. The program has been shown to successfully reduce recidivism (reduce the risk of repeat offense).
