Parish Nurse & Health Ministry Program hosts “Foundations of Faith Community Nursing” Preparation Course: Day 2 of 4

See below for cost info.The Pittsburgh Mercy Parish Nurse & Health Ministry Program is hosting Foundations of Faith Community Nursing, a four-day preparation course that offers valuable education and resources to faith community nurses, lay health ministers, and anyone interested in learning about whole-person health (balancing body, mind, and spirit). This course will be held on September 21, 2019 and October 25-26, 2019 at UPMC Mercy, Sister M. Ferdinand Clark Auditorium, 1400 Locust Street, Second Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 (Uptown). Course times are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. The Pittsburgh Mercy Parish Nurse & Health Ministry Program is an approved provider of the curriculum developed by the Westberg Institute for Faith Community Nursing. This hybrid course offers online modules and classroom presentations taught by our approved faculty. The class size is limited to 20 participants. The cost is $395 for registered nurses and includes 34 continuing education credits. The cost for health ministers and other laypersons is $200. At the end of the course, registered nurses will be commissioned as faith community nurses and receive a pin and certificate. Other participants will be commissioned as health ministers and receive a pin and certificate. Continental breakfast and parking are included for all participants.
