18th Annual Pittsburgh Pastoral Care Conference

$25 – $65Pastors, laity, counselors, nurses, social workers, caregivers, physicians, students, therapists, and volunteers are invited to attend the 18th Annual Pittsburgh Pastoral Care Conference, Friday, May 11, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Christ Church at Grove Farm, 249 Duff Road, Sewickley, PA 15143. The conference will focus on six timely topics: addiction and recovery; mental health and wellness; family and marriage; community outreach; reflections in ministry; and church safety.
Bishop Cynthia Moore-Koikoi of the Western Pennsylvania Conference, The United Methodist Church, will deliver the keynote address, “Can’t We All Just Get Along,” and speak to the role of the faith community and pastoral care providers in healing the wounds of division in our culture.
Up to 5.5 continuing education credits are available for certified addiction counselors, social workers, licensed professional counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists, and clergy who attend. Nurses may apply for social work credits.
The cost is $25 for students and $50 for professionals. The cost includes registration, lunch, and conference materials. Continuing education credits are $15 additional.
