Benefits, Financial Coordination, Representative Payee Services & SOAR
Worries and stress about money can affect your well-being. If you have questions about benefits eligibility, financial guardianship, or representative payee services, our benefits coordinators can help. We’ll work with you to determine your eligibility for benefits, including but not limited to cash assistance, Medicaid, and food stamps.
If you receive Social Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Income (SSDI), you may be eligible for representative payee services. A representative payee is a person or organization the Social Security Administration appoints to manage your funds for you when you’re unable to do so.
If you need help with applying for SSI or SSDI benefits, or if previous applications for benefits have been denied, we may be able to help. Contact our SOAR representative at 412-488-3700.

Central Recovery Center (CRC)

Community Support Services
Our Community Support Services connect you to community supports and resources that can help you in your recovery journey. We offer several types and levels of services for children, adolescents, and adults. All are based on your individual strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences.
Assertive Community Treatment Teams (CTT) & Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT) Team
Our multidisciplinary Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams — also known as Community Treatment Teams — work with you to keep you safe in the community and help you to reach your individual recovery goals. Each team includes a psychiatrist, a nurse, a therapist, a case manager, a drug and alcohol counselor, a peer, an employment specialist, a forensics specialist, and other mental health professionals who work together to offer mental health, rehabilitation, and support services to you in your home. CTT is designed for individuals who are not able to benefit from traditional community-based mental health and drug and alcohol services.
Our Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT) team is a specialized community treatment team that helps people who have both a mental illness and an addiction (substance use disorder), also known as dual disorders. The IDDT includes a psychiatrist, a nurse, a therapist, a case manager, a drug and alcohol counselor, a peer, an employment specialist, a forensics specialist, and other professionals who specialize in both mental heath and addiction (substance use disorders). Mental health, rehabilitation, and support services are provided to you in your home.
For more information, please contact us at 1-877-637-2924.
Targeted Case Management (Service Coordination)
We help you gain the coping skills needed for everyday life while remaining in the community. Our Targeted Case Management (Service Coordination) and Specialized Service Coordination professionals routinely make home visits and link you to services and resources available to you in the community. We coordinate care to include education, employment, mental health treatment, physical health care, interpersonal relationships, and much more.
We also offer wellness coaching to provide you support, engagement, and assistance in making positive changes in your life and health. Group and individual activities are frequently led by individuals who have had personal experience with mental illness and recovery, and have been trained as wellness coaches.
We help you to access the right services at the right time in your recovery to achieve the best results. We make regular home visits to help you track your progress.
Adult Administrative Service Coordination
Adult Administrative Service Coordination helps adults to:
- Access appropriate mental health treatment
- Link with multiple programs and providers
- Consult with and make referrals to community resources.
This service ensures continuity of care by supporting referrals between programs as you continue your journey to recovery. This level of care is available for short-term support and assistance in managing a mental health crisis and linking to community resources to address identified needs.
A forensic liaison visits people who are incarcerated (jailed) at the Allegheny County Jail. The liaison helps ensure that individuals get their prescribed medication and that they link to their service coordinator, Mental Health Court, Justice-Related Services, and other identified community services. The liaison also advocates for persons served.
