Pittsburgh Mercy presents the 13th Annual Reindeer Ball

Create a new holiday memory while supporting vital child and adolescent health and human services in our community. Pittsburgh Mercy's 13th Annual Reindeer Ball offers a fabulous evening of fun for the whole family.

Dressed in their holiday finest, children and their families will mingle will some of their favorite characters and storybook friends, including Bad Kitty, Curious George, and Pokey Little Puppy. RWS Productions, a New York City-based entertainment company, will perform a dazzling holiday revue, "Alice in Winterland." Food stations for both adults and children will provide a festive holiday meal.

The whole family will ring in the season and enjoy an evening of playing, singing, and dancing!

Winter Shelter to open every night for individuals who are experiencing homelessness


November 15, 2016 through March 15, 2017, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., regardless of the weather

Men's Winter Shelter: Smithfield United Church of Christ, 620 Smithfield Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 (Downtown). Women's Winter Shelter: Location disclosed only to persons served and providers. Contact: Brian Matous at 412-689-6565 or 412-232-5739.

Allegheny County Department of Human Services and Pittsburgh Mercy's Operation Safety Net are pleased to announce that for the first time, the Winter Shelter for individuals who are experiencing homelessness, formerly known as the Severe Weather Emergency Shelter, will open every night regardless of the weather. When the Winter Shelter opens at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, it will remain open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. every night through March 15, 2017.
